Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. Hebrews 4:14
Isaiah 40 29-31 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

"Therefore go and make cisciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching the to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Ooooh, Kaye! That last one is perfect for those of us with neurological conditions, huh? You should put that as your signature at ASAP!!
I wanted to comment on that Isaiah verse and in your translation, it reads, "Those that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength." In the King James, it reads, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." I love that idea of WAITING for God...waiting for Him to renew our strength, to act, to do what is the best thing for us. And doesn't the "renew their strength" really go with your latest post about the tired hands and weak knees. Wow, some really powerful stuff here on all of these Scriptures!!! More, more!! How about all of us finding more scriptures about God "giving us strength"....?
love, mac

2 Corinthians 1:4-5 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.
Jeremiah 31:13 The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.

“Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 that's a hard thing to ask, but God told us to do it, lol

Hi, Kaye and everyone...I've been away too long. Have been not doing well at all...need some prayers, that's for sure. I randomly looked for a verse to post tonight, and came upon Hebrews 4: 16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
Oh, do we never need help and grace! But we know we have an Advocate unto the Father, Jesus Christ our Lord. Because of what He did for us, we know we can "come boldy" unto His throne. It's hard to believe such a thing could even be true, that simple humans can approach God with their requests.
My dear dear 89 year old stepmother is devoutly Catholic. Yesterday we talked on the phone and she asked how I was doing and genuinely wanted to know each detail. I was feeling horrid, like I was in a fast decline toward death's door. Irene said that I needed to go to someone "close to God." She told me she meant the Pope. I honored and respected her, but briefly explained that as believers, we are as close to God as the Pope. We have the same access (maybe even better?). And that conversation has rung in my ears the last 24 hours.
Now, God gives me this verse: we can come boldly to the throne of grace. His grace is sufficient for me. All of the Bible verses are connected and the central theme is: He is our loving Father and wants to do good things for us!
My prayer tonight is that He will give many many good things (blessings) to each person reading this tonight, first of which is CONFIDENCE to approach the Throne with our needs.
with His love, mac

thanks, Mac, that is a really good thought. I've been having a good few days, which is amazing. one day I feel like I'm about ready to give up with the pain, and the next, I feel human again, lol. and it has lasted!!! not just one day!!! I felt good Saturday, Sunday, and this morning, I'm feeling good too, I wish I could send some of this to you, Mac, to make you feel better! I don't want to say I know how bad it is, because I don't know how bad it has gotten for you, but I'll be praying for you. and I'll be praying for you stepmother too. I don't know of any Catholics in our family besides my dad's stepmother...and we don't talk to her. I have never met her, and both my parents assure me, I don't want to. 2 Corinthians 1:4-5 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. I never knew how hard that would be to understand...now I know. and I hope He showers you with His comfort t2ul!

Kaye, I looked for a Scripture for us today and this one was on the page I opened in the Bible: Psalm 119:78 "Let the proud be ashamed: for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in your precepts."
what does your version say? Sure does apply to some of the stuff happening today, huh?

"May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts."
and you're right, it is a good verse for today...I feel so let down right now. I think I made the right decision in canceling my membership with ASAP and leaving for a while till things change. I follow the rules, and get called on the carpet for not...see something wrong there? I might have accidently mentioned something, but that was it, I would never intentionaly disobey the policies.
I think there is a power play going on, so, until new moderators come, and things change, I will only come on to give an update.
now to get back to Bible verses, I saw one yesterday when I was angry at my brother. I almost burst into tears when I saw it. It was something about not letting the devil get you to stumble. and I stumbled so much last night. I said things I don't mean, I did things I wish I hadn't...I need to work on controlling my temper, lol, but other than Josh, I do't anger easily... I wonder why?

Um, maybe God sent you Josh to test your faith? (big smile)...hi Kaye, how are you! Boy, it's been 9 days since I was last here...I wonder what verse God will give me today and if it will apply to my day? I'll go look:
Well, this is one for the day after the election: But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever and forever and ever. Daniel 7:18
No matter what happens on this earth, we have a place that is truly our own and will never been taken from us...ever!
love you! mac
