there is one in Psalms that I like, I just need to find it.
Psalms 61:4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
I feel like that right now. the pain is back in full force, including my neck to the point I can't hold my head up sometimes....I might just be here once in awhile, like the other site. I can't do much sitting up anymore....which reminds me, I need to send this hilarious email to you. t2ul!

Kaye, I asked God to give me a Scripture verse for my young friend (you) who is having so much pain. This was the verse he gave to me for you:
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him." 1 Cor. 2:9
Thank you for your verse you shared. So often, "wings" are used in describing our safe place with God. Maybe we should do a brief study on that someday. Have you ever seen a mother hen who drops her wings to shelter and protect her chicks? That verse reminds me of that. Thank you! and I loved the funny email!!

thanks, Mac.
I would like to do that study. it would certainly be interesting. in Revelation, a lot of the heavenly beasts had wings and lots of eyes. but I needed that verse last night.
I think of penguins when I here that. the wings might not be covering them up, but they can hide on their papa's feet. reminds me of the verse on praying, on coming into God's courts with praise and prayers. makes me feel like crawling onto my heavenly Papa's feet...
lol, I cracked up over that email...t2ul!

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,” (1 Peter 3:18) I just thought this was an intersting verse,

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives” (2 Peter 3:10-11)

Hi, Kaye, it's Sunday morning and the last day of the year (2006)...thought I'd spend a bit of time with you here on the board, read the posts I've missed. I have not been well at all...but have hopes that I'll have answers on Jan. 23 when I see Dr. B....I bet you feel much the same, your hopeful date is Jan. 5. What would we do without HOPE? I'll find a good verse on HOPE here and post it for us!
Hold fast to hope, Kaye! I did a study on hope many, many years ago and I remember that when I thought of hope, it was like a "wish"...."I hope, I hope...sort of thing"....but the dictionary said that the word HOPE means something you place your CONFIDENCE in!

thanks, Mac, . I forgot the address for a bit, lol. I had it on my favorites list on the other computer, but we got a new one, and put the internet on it, so had to go find my favorites again, ;D I got the email you sent, and I'll be praying you get that fixed REALLY SOON. I think of hope and faith as going hand in hand a lot, but I don't know why...just my oddities, I guess, lol.
