Hi, I wanted to share something about nature. I have a potted palm and I move it out onto the porch in the summer and back into the house when it starts to cool off. This spring, I moved it out too soon, and the cold air at night killed off all the pretty fronds of the palm. It left the plant, about 3 feet high, with these snaky, skinny trunks spiking up and no palm fronds at top. UGLY! I've kept watering it and I just noticed that this palm is more beautiful than it EVER was before now!
Not only does it have dark green, shiny, healthy looking fronds on the top, but they are growing in bunches at the bottom, too. You see, the roots were still healthy, it's just the part we see that looked sick!
Makes me think of us as Christians. If we are grounded and rooted in Christ, we are healthy no matter what the outside looks like! and someday, we will be more beautiful than before! Keep watering the roots with His Word and prayer.
Glad I have a place to share this, Kaye. love, mac
