The Great Message
This section is a great help when things in life are really tough.
Matthew 5:38-42'
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evli person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him also have your cloak. 41 If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." What verses 38 & 39 are saying is do not lust for revenge. 40 & 41 say that you should do twice as much as people ask of you. 42 is pretty self - explanatory.
John 3:16-18
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did noy send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only son. These set of verses display God's love for us, and also explain each other.
You probably have a few questions now, so, here are few answers.
Q: Who is God's son?
A: Jesus Christ, God's son, our savior.
Q: I want to know more about Jesus
A:Mathew 9:18, 19, & 23-25
18 While he (Jesus) was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him. "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live." 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. 23 When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and noisy crowd, 24 he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. So, we know that Jesus performed miracles, and he died for us.
Q: Now that I know a little bit about Jesus, what do I do?
A: Acts 2:36-39
36 "Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter (one of Jesus' followers) and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 Peter repiled, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will recieve the gift of the holy spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call."
Q: OK, so now that I've repented and turned away from my sins, and I believe that Jesus is Lord, what next?
A:James 2:14-17
14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. Now I leave you to decide. If you have any questions, visit me at
